The Studio isn’t about dancing (although it is that too, sometimes). It’s about hitting new limits. Finding strength. Finding other women to connect with.  It’s learning how to mentally unfuck yourself and push through the hard, every day grit of life. It’s not just a gym. It’s a room full of women who’ve had bad days, good days to celebrate, days of grief, days of escape, and days of exhaustion. In this space, we let go.  We pour our hearts into our bodies, souls, minds, and mats. Sometimes, we throw our arms out and cry, we’ve given up. We’ve let things overburden us and out-life us. Sometimes we DO dance without the fear of judgment. At any given class, we could find a million differences to divide us. But between our differences, we also find our synchronicities.  And in our synchronicities, we find power.  If in that power, you feel compelled to dance or lay or cry, you’ll find women in your corner, dancing with you, rooting for you or picking up the broken pieces you’ve left behind. My studio tribe is beautiful and messy and I’m forever so thankful for it.  P.S. I didn’t used to dance either.” – a much loved V.I.P.

Rebelling against the traditional values of the fitness industry and prioritizing mental health and overall quality of life above all else, The Studio by Jamie Kinkeade has become a safe haven for people from all walks of life to express themselves freely through the power of collective joy and music.  The Studio is about the soul, the psyche, and the emotional bonds that help us discover who we are and who we want to be.

Jamie Kinkeade, the heart and soul behind The Studio, built its defining principles on the bedrock of her own experiences. After enduring years of negative body image issues, a challenge faced by countless women and many men, Jamie embarked on her own journey of healing. Throughout this process, she identified a deep-seated need among humans that was not being met in the fitness industry—a space to feel, heal, and grow without numbers on a scale or calories burned being at the forefront of the journey. From this realization, The Studio was born.

Her vision was clear and her passion unmatched: to build a place where women from various backgrounds could find refuge in expressing their authentic selves, while men, often suppressed from showing vulnerabilities, could also find a safe space to express and explore their own thoughts and emotions. Today, The Studio is fondly known as a fitness brand where confidence and self-worth aren’t just side effects—they’re the main focus.

2020 marked a transformative year for The Studio. As COVID-19 changed the world, Jamie’s resilience shone through. Transitioning to an online platform, The Studio’s YouTube channel went viral, skyrocketing her reach to help more people rediscover happiness, health, and confidence. Today, The Studio has online members from over 46 countries, making The Studio not just a Springfield treasure, but also a global brand that continues to grow and change lives.

At The Studio, there is no shortage of class formats each with it’s own unique spin.  Want to lift weights? They have it!  Feel like dancing your stress away? This is the place. Need a workout that inspires you to make some big moves in life? Yep!  They’ve got that too.  With 6 main formats, and an always growing and revolving collection of new ideas and classes, there is something for everyone!

For those in Springfield who have yet to experience The Studio, the message is clear: Come and be part of this transformative journey. Whether you’re seeking to ignite your confidence, looking for an amazing community of love and acceptance, or merely looking for a workout that feels more like a party, The Studio by Jamie Kinkeade is your place.
