Fall Foliage Hike & Cave Vineyard

  • Tom Sauk Mountain (map)

Enjoy this very unique trip, with perfect fall weather to one of the most stunning places in Missouri followed by a winery in a cave - yes, inside the cave! We will start at Taum Sauk Mountain State Park, where we will go on a three mile loop that includes the highest point and tallest waterfall in the state. Along the trail, there are amazing views of the glades and the St. Francois Mountains, covered in fall colors! There will be  a little bit of scrambling down to the bottom of the falls but the view makes it all worth it. The trail loops back through a section of the Ozark Trail that follows a beautiful creek. After the hike, we will head over to Cave Vineyard and Distillery for one of a kind experience. We will enjoy locally made wine, spirits, and homemade biscottis inside Saltpeter Cave, with an opening of 100 feet across and 35 feet tall. After this unique experience, we will head back with after an amazing fall day exploring the Ozarks.
