In collaboration with the Himalayan Institute's Year Long Meditation project, Movement Collective Studio will be hosting a free weekly community meditation class in support of a daily meditation practice for all. Every Sunday at the studio from 7:30am-8:15pm. Meditation seat props provided.

In 2018 Western Spirit Cycling partnered with Visit Bentonville and OZ Trails to provide our first venue east of the Rockies. After that inaugural event we’re 100% convinced that it needs to be yearly thing. From the fresh air of the Ozarks to the multiple trail hubs and bike parks, the area has everything we could ask for. The late fall date has some of the nicest riding conditions and a great way to cap off the season.

The Sierra Club - White River Group will team up with Ken McCarty of Missouri State Parks to lead a hiking tour of the brand new Ozark Mountain State Park in Branson, MO. This park has recently begun the Conceptual Development Plan process to open the park to the public. The hike will be around 3 miles with rough terrain and steep ascents and descents. Please note there are no trails in the park yet. Please wear sturdy hiking shoes and consider bringing trekking poles, rain gear, snacks and water. This event is free and open to the public.
Set within the Dogwood Canyon Nature Park, these trail runs offer a unique running experience. Dogwood Canyon is a natural paradise with over 10,000 acres, providing a fantastic variety of trails. This is truly a perfect trail race with rocks, hills, mud, streams and more, providing our runners with a physically challenging and satisfying experience. Parts of our Dogwood Canyon Trail Run courses are only open for our trail runs, making the participants of this world-class event among the special few who are granted access to these majestic and hidden areas of the canyon.

This event will show you how to make some of your holiday favorites using real ingredients and kitchen short cuts that can save you time. Zenith Climbing Center’s biggest competition of the year is back and better than ever! Sanctioned USAC youth competition in the morning. The Youth Competition is a USA Climbing sanctioned event. All competitors must hold a current USAC membership in order to compete. The non-sanctioned adult competition will take place in the afternoon. White River Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K | Boston Qualifier | One of the flattest, fastest courses in the U.S. Our course runs along the beautiful White River in Cotter, Arkansas. Marathon is an out and back twice. Half marathon is out and back. Aid stations every mile and a half! Awesome Pre-Race pasta dinner and renowned post-race meal! One More 24 Sober Run is a community event created to raise money for One More 24 Sober Living. This event celebrates and supports those in our community who continue to work towards their sobriety and remembers those who have lost their fight. 24 hours to walk/run laps together around the outside track. Door prizes, swag, food trucks, kids zone, inflatables, obstacle course, and live music at night! Commemorative gift for the first 100 people to sign up! A full day of caving adventure in the Springfield area, including a hiking tour that highlights the outside of the caves at Ritter Springs Park, a walking tour through Giboney Cave in Doling Park, and a guided boat tour through Sequiota Cave in Sequiota Park. Turkey Trot is Springfield’s largest timed 5k run/walk of the year and the largest Thanksgiving Day 5k in Missouri, attracting more than 7,000 participants a year. Proceeds from the event benefit the Springfield-Greene County Park Board Youth Recreation Scholarship Fund and the Developmental Center of the Ozarks. Turkey Trot also serves as one of the largest one-day food drives of the year for Ozarks Food Harvest, with more than 6,500 meals donated at the event last year. Bring the whole family including the family dog and join in on the Thanksgiving morning fun! The 25th Annual Turkey Trot 5k Walk/Run is held rain, snow or shine on Thursday, Nov. 28, 8 a.m., at the Springfield Expo Center, 635 E. St. Louis St., in downtown Springfield.

Come out and get your holiday cheer on! Each participant receives a 5-piece Santa suit to run in, this includes a hat, beard, coat, pants and belt, with lots of hot chocolate and cheery snacks to look forward to at the finish line. There are only 1,500 suits so sign up before they’re gone! A portion of the proceeds form Santa Run will be donated to three local charities: Girls on the Run, Ozark Greenways and Senior Foundation of the Ozarks, each registrant will be able to pick which charity their run will benefit.

We will start at Taum Sauk Mountain State Park, where we will go on a three mile loop that includes the highest point and tallest waterfall in the state. Along the trail, there are amazing views of the glades and the St. Francois Mountains, covered in fall colors! There will be a little bit of scrambling down to the bottom of the falls but the view makes it all worth it. The trail loops back through a section of the Ozark Trail that follows a beautiful creek. After the hike, we will head over to Cave Vineyard and Distillery for one of a kind experience. We will enjoy locally made wine, spirits, and homemade biscotti inside Saltpeter Cave, with an opening of 100 feet across and 35 feet tall. Take your running off road! Intoducing the 30k in 2019, AdventureMax Springfield 30k, Half Marathon and 10k trail race is the perfect fall season off-road experience. The trail system and scenic views make Two Rivers Bike Park the absolute perfect place to host a trail race. With 30k, Half Marathon and 10K distance options, there is a perfect distance for the whole family. The routes for the Tour De Bass are scenic and every rider is sure to enjoy the Springfield area as it displays the majestic beauty of the Ozarks in the fall. Fun rest stops are provided along the routes. All 2019 routes, except the 100 mile ride, for our Tour De Bass will stay the same as they were in 2018. We will start and end at Mercy Orthopedic Hospital off of Evans Road. A wonderful finish line meal will be provided to registrants of the 100, 62, 48 and 28 mile rides.
Hosted by Drury University and benefiting Care to Learn, the Panther Run features 5k, 10k, 15k, and 5k walk routes. Every racer is entered into the drawing for over $20,000 in prizes and awards! The Branson Mountain Man Off-Road Triathlon is of course open to everyone, not just burly mountain men! This off-road triathlon starts and finishes at Table Rock State Park on the south side of the dam on Lake Taneycomo in awesome Branson, Missouri. This is a rugged course that utilizes the White River Valley trail system. Athletes will complete one of two courses, the Sprint Course or the Burly Course. The Sprint Course is designed to be a great race for athletes of all abilities. The Burly Course is essentially double the Sprint Course. Stay in Branson for race weekend, either at one of the many hotels, or be one with your inner mountain man and camp with us at Table Rock State Park.
We will start our day with a 3 mile hike through easy-mild terrain and 500 ft in elevation change. The trail climbs up to a ridge with invigorating views of the surrounding landscape while being completely immersed in nature. The trail is a semi-loop with many breathtaking views, cool rock formations, and beautiful fall changing colors. As the terrain opens up, we will unroll our mats and take in all the benefits of a quick 30 mins yoga session. After the hike, we will head to Conscious Coco, an amazing chocolate shop in charming Fayetteville, Arkansas. We will spend some time there indulging in truffles, raw desserts, coffee bar, smoothies, infusions, and more! The only way this day could get any better is to top it off with some local wines at Sassafras Winery. Enjoy exceptional wines, locally made and from all around the world under the covered patio or on one of the many over-sized decks. Get back home after sharing an amazing fall day in the Ozarks with some Wild Women.
